Digital X-Rays

Taking dental X-rays used to be an uncomfortable, grueling experience. Along with concerns about exposure to radiation, patients were left waiting while the X-rays were developed. By equipping our office with digital radiography, we’ve cut radiation emissions by up to 80%, and the images are ready for viewing within seconds. Digital X-rays produce clearer details and can be enhanced to better identify areas of concern. We take patient comfort, health, and safety seriously.

CT/Cone Beam Scanner

A cone beam scanner is a special type of X-ray that captures the entire mouth, including the underlying nerve pathways and bone. It gives us a more complete picture of your oral health than a regular dental X-ray, which is invaluable when planning certain treatments. For example, we use our Sirona Galileos scanner to guide our dental implant placement, and it also helps determine the best strategy for treating obstructive sleep apnea.

Digital Impression System

Our iTero and CEREC digital scanners have made taking impressions a far more comfortable experience. There’s no need to bite down on a gooey substance for several minutes and hope that the results come out properly. Our scans can be taken quickly with little to no discomfort, allowing us to ensure a tooth restoration is designed correctly the first time. CEREC takes things one step further and allows us to create a crown or another restoration in-office the same day without the need for several appointments.

Soft Tissue Laser Dentistry

Soft-tissue lasers like DenMat and Sirona are replacing traditional dental instruments as the preferred method for performing a wide range of treatments, including periodontal therapy. Lasers are so gentle that they often can help patients avoid the need for numbing injections. What’s more, the laser does not create anxiety-producing sounds during treatment. They also make it easier for practitioners to control the amount of tissue removed so that more of the healthy gum tissue is left intact.
